Things are in a constant evolution here.
One action leads to another leads to another
and before you know it, I barely have time to sleep.
Or, more time to sleep, depending on what day it is.
I phoned home today. I phoned really because I only have 10 dollars in my bank account but, I miss my family... as dysfunctional and somehow completely stable they are. They miss me too, it seems. -All nine of them. Plus my beloved cat and ridiculous dogs.
I missed my first Diversions meeting on account of having to study for my Human Social Behavior class. Whose quiz I actually didn't do well on because I couldn't get my attention span to focus long enough to keep on the reading. All of my other classes are pretty normal, really. American Pluralism is boring and is at 8:15 in the morning. I don't own a printer so I read all of our assignments off of Blackboard and then hope that I can retain the information during discussion. I have a symbol system project due for Comm. Practices on Monday. Ashley (a friend I've made that lives down the hall and who is also in my class) and I are the only group of two and I'd have to say we've got the least creative project but at this point neither of us care. We just want to get it over with. Comm. Processes is pretty awesome. There's a lot of discussion over what we think communication is and what not. Yesterday we discussed how the only thing humans really have over other animals is our ability to form languages and in that, form communities, societies, civilizations etc. If we didn't have that, chances are we wouldn't have survived.
And I said all of that just to say, I look forward to this Monday's radio meeting and this coming Wednesday's Diversions meeting.
I have the urge to get involved.
It rained all day yesterday, apparently it was all from Hurricane Gustav. Which, despite my best efforts I was a tad pissed about. I no longer live in the southern region of the States, I do not want to be affected by hurricanes! It turned out to be a cool day though, I took some photos of the lake and myself outside in the chilly wetness. And I have decided that I'm in desperate need of rainboots.

Also, for those of you in the Rockledge/Brevard County/Flo Rida area, I will be back on December 15th or December 16th and I'll be there through January 11th. So, mark your calendars and clear any prior engagments, I'll probably demand all of your attention. :) |
